Business of the Year
We’re looking for businesses you think have contributed substantially to the betterment of the Altadena community through volunteer efforts. Past winners of ACOC’s B.O.Y. award often promote other businesses in Altadena along with their own, thus strengthening ties to the community and raising the tide for all ships. We also ask that any nominee be a member of the Altadena Chamber of Commerce in good standing – the easiest way to know is to keep an eye out for the ACOC’s 2019-2020 placard in that business’s storefront.

Citizen of the Year
Each year, the ACOC reaches out to the community for its nominations for Citizen of the Year. Past honorees are outstanding local residents that dedicate themselves to the betterment of the community at large.
The Citizen of the Year can be nominated by anyone. The recipient is chosen by a committee consisting of the immediate past citizen of the year and a representative from each of the following organizations:
- Altadena Chamber of Commerce
- Altadena Heritage
- Altadena Historical Society
- Altadena Foothills Conservancy
- Altadena Branch of NAACP
- Altadena Sheriff Support Group
- Quality of Life Center, Inc.
- Altadena Town Council
